Midori Traveler's Notebook

I recently discovered the Midori Traveler's Notebook. Actually, John gifted it to me for our first anniversary! Until then, I hadn't even heard the word "Midori" muttered. The "traveler's notebook" idea was a completely new concept to me. I have always enjoyed keeping a planner, but the Midori is a planner and so much more. I never knew this type of industry had such a following. When I opened the Midori, I was intrigued and I immediately started researching how to use it. I found that there were endless ways to utilize it and I pretty much fell in love right there.Midori Traveler's Notebook Review

[the_ad id="4340"]It took me a few weeks to get my groove, but I think I'm getting the hang of how I want to use it now. I primarily use it as a planner using refill 019. I write all of my appointments, things to note, and to-do lists in there. I've found it has really helped me keep up with my blogging to-dos!On the left side of each spread, I write the major things happening each day. I may put sticky notes like "phone bill due" or pencil in "Starlight Music Concert 6 pm". The right side of the spread is a grid. I use it to write my to-do lists for the week. I have a personal to-do and a blog to-do. I use sticky notes on this side to remind me how many blog posts I still have to write for the week and other small notes that give me a little more information.Midori Traveler's Notebook Agenda PageI use the refill 001 to make longer lists like "blog post ideas", "wish list", "Ultimate Adventure List", and "date ideas".Midori Traveler's Notebook refill 001The last book in my Midori is refill 003. It's just blank paper. I had the hardest time deciding what I was going to do with it. Last week I was thinking about it, and I decided I'd start using it for doodles! I bought some color pencils and drew a picture. I plan to use that book for drawing things that just make me happy. For example, the first thing I drew were frangipanis (plumeria) because they remind me of Maui.Midori Art Notebook refill 003Some people choose to deck their Midori's out. Just search #Midori on Instagram and you'll see what I mean. It's absolutely amazing how some people can transform these notebooks. I like to decorate mine a little, but I do opt for usability over "beauty". I like to use washi tape, stamps, and cards to decorate the book while maintaining it's usability.Overall, I'm extremely happy with the Midori. I take it everywhere with me. I mean it. It goes everywhere with me. The clear zipper pocket allows me to safely store receipts and business cards on-the-go. That way, when I get home I can easily organize them.I rest easy knowing every important piece of information I receive in a day is all in one place![the_ad id="4340"]What kind of a planner do you use?
