It's HERE! It's finally here. I've been waiting for Spring for what seems like forever. With the change in seasons comes the change in capsule wardrobes. I loved how my Winter capsule wardrobe turned out, and I definitely learned a lot from it. So, I've taken those lessons and applied what I learned to my Spring Capsule. Here's how I put together a killer capsule wardrobe this Spring.

I went with a color palette

For my winter capsule wardrobe, I really didn't have any color palette to go off of. I just picked pieces that I liked. This time, I was more picky in choosing my pieces, so that I can mix and match practically everything. In my winter wardrobe, many things went unworn because I couldn't pair each piece with any other piece. I downsized even more

My Winter capsule contained about 33 items after it was all said and done. My Spring capsule includes only 22 items. I realized that I didn't really wear all the items I included the first go-around. More than anything, I included them because I thought I would be short on items. I didn't even miss them--honestly--I'll be taking a big ole' box to donate soon. Plus, with 22 items, if I find along the way that I'm missing something, I can easily add one or two things without feeling overwhelmed with pieces.

Invested in Quality Pieces

I knew my closet needed some quality pieces. Recently, I've turned to Trunk Club to hook me up with quality and on-trend pieces! For so many years I took the "cheap" way out: Forever21 and H&M make super trendy pieces, but they simply are not made to last. I decided it was better to invest in clothing that I could wear for years that would keep its shape and color. See my thoughts on Trunk Club here.
