Making Friends as an Adult with Game Night | Codenames: Deep Undercover

For our entire relationship, my husband and I have relied on board games for entertainment. Our experience with board games started off as a cheap way to have "reusable" date nights and it escalated to a full-blown hobby! We now try to play board games weekly and we're always on the hunt for fun games to teach friends. Which leads me to... Making friends as an adult isn't easy. Add in an 800 mile move where you literally know no one and it's even more difficult. Living in a new city can be lonely, even with the company of a spouse.  Making friends has been one of our top priorities since moving to Albuquerque and more often than not, we break the ice with a board game.AD: The perfect adult game night includes Codenames: Deep UndercoverJohn and I want to make friends that really fit with our lifestyle and get our humor, which is why Codenames: Deep Undercover is our favorite party game and even though the play is seriously simple, it's definitely not for the faint of heart (or prudes). Codenames: Deep Undercover is a spin-off of one of our favorite games - Codenames - which won Origins Awards for Game of the Year, Best Family Game, AND Fan Favorite. Deep Undercover is just as fabulous, but it adds a lot more adult elements and takes away the "family" aspect with all new words, art, and characters! AD Codenames: Deep Undercover is a blast for game nightsBasically, you use one-word clues and a number to help your team guess the appropriate words. It's the perfect game to put new friends playfully through the wringer to see if your personalities are really compatible. For us, odds are that if you think this game is as hilarious as we do, we'll all get along just fine. We recently had a board game night with new friends and I'm happy to announce that we didn't frighten them off. I even had coffee with one of them last week. Trying to make new friends?? You can't go wrong with a board game and a coffee date! ADCodenames: Deep Undercover is the best party game for adults. If you can think of multiple ways to make the word 'melons' funny, you'll love this one. There are lots of laughs to be had with this board game. Even though there's not technically a 2-player version (it's best with 4+ people), when we aren't entertaining others, John and I like to just play together to see how creative we can get with our clues. It absolutely beats sitting in front of the television for hours! AD Code names is the best adult party game! My only qualm with the game is that there's no "covfefe" card. That would be the icing on the cake. Maybe they'll print it for future printings of the game. Ha! Codenames: Deep Undercover is exclusively available in North America at Target and Target.com. Pick it up next time you're out of soap or deodorant. Your next party will thank you. What's your favorite way to break the ice with new friends? I was selected for this opportunity as a member of CLEVER and the content and opinions expressed here are all my own.
