What We Wore: One Year Anniversary Fashion
I'd be lying if I said I wasn't still on a love-high from our Anniversary this past weekend. ONE YEAR! How did that happen? Friday night we set aside some time for a special dinner at our favorite restaurant. We had a wedding to go to Saturday night, and we left for our anniversary trip Sunday, so technically we celebrated early. However, we didn't mind moving our celebratory anniversary dinner up a couple of days. Dressing up as a couple is much more fun than dressing up alone... but that's married Jaelan talking. ;) I bought my anniversary dress months ago. I found it on sale and I just had to have it. We had great intentions of taking pictures with the wild flowers this year, but we just didn't make it happen. When we decided to do a special dinner to celebrate, I knew I'd wear it. I love the scalloped details along the neckline and onto the back. And of course, it's cream because I wanted to feel a little like a bride again. If were socially acceptable for me to wear my wedding dress to dinner, I totally would have. I donned my wedding shoes (similar) and the pearl earrings John gave me on our wedding day. I topped off the look with a simple updo and elegant makeup. John is the real fashionisto of the family. He has really come into his own style and I admire that. He wore his favorite Bonobo's chinos and button down, a grey Tie Bar tie, a pretty belt, and in true John fashion, his Allen Edmond Carlyles.
