Silver Bells Christmas Makeup | The Makeup Mix-Up
When I was young, my favorite uncle lived overseas. He was in the navy, so he was constantly traveling and seeing amazing far away places. He'd send us a little present each new place he went. One Christmas, he sent us a little silver bell. It had the year (I believe it was 1994), and a shiny red bow tied around the top. It was beautiful. Silver bells are a childhood staple for Christmas. I thought about this silver bell when doing my makeup for this week's prompt. I can see my childhood living room so clearly in my mind. It's decorated for Christmas. There's a little model town with bears instead of people on the side table. There's the stuffed Santa Claus that my mom made sitting near the door. On another table, there's Rodney our family reindeer and that silver Christmas bell. And right in the middle, there's the tree in all its glory. So many amazing colors. On Christmas morning, my sisters and I would burst into the living room eager to see what Santa left. There were always glistening silver icicles - evidence Santa had truly been there. He always leaves icicles. They looked like little silver bells all over the tree. Bright. Twinkling. Full of light.
